Steps

  1. 1

Boil the snail to aid shell removal, use pestle or stone to crack the shell open. Remove the meat from the shell and wash with warm water and alum to remove the sliminess. Use a knife to cut out the eye of the snail and also remove the excreta. Wash finally with cold water and drain to remove excess water.

  2. 2

Boil the snail meat with little seasoning, drain off the water and then fry dry with palm oil.

  3. 3

Blend pepper and onion together (not smooth) fry with little palm oil, add some salt and seasoning. Pour in the salted snails and stir fry until the ingredients are combined.

  4. 4

Do not add water to this mixture.. your peppered snail is ready... Serve plain or along side a meal. Enjoy!
