If you have left over idlis from morning or overnight, making an idli upma is the best alternative. It tastes yummy and serves well. Try it out

First cut the onion into small pieces. Also cut green chillies and coriander leaves into small pieces.

Also cut idli into smaller pieces and keep it aside.

Now take a pan or kadhai, add oil, add pinch of jeera or Cumin seeds saute it well. Now add onion, green chillies. Saute it well and let it cook for 10 mins till the onion turn brown.

Now add salt as per taste, red chilli, turmeric powder and gun powder. Mix it well. Keep it for 2-3 mins to let onion mix well with the masalas. Now add coriander also.

After 2 mins, add the cut idlis and mix it well. add little water so that idli can get softer. Keep a lid and let it cook for 2 more minutes.

Serve it hot.
