Ingredients

  1. 1 kgred carrots
  2. 1/2 litresmilk
  3. 1/4 cupghee
  4. 3/4th cup sugar
  5. 1/2 cupmalai / khoya (optional)
  6. 1/4 tspcardomon powder (elaichi)
  7. chopped nuts

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel and cut carrots lenghtwise.....heat cooker add half quantity ghee add carrots mix well....add 1 cup milk close cooker cook until 5 to 6 whistles

    Open cooker once pressure is gone mash the carrots with spoon or masher on gas and evaporate the water released from carrots on high heat

  4. 4

    Once water evaporates add the remaining milk again reduce the milk on high heat

  5. 5

    Once milk is reduced add malai or khoya again dry it out then add sugar

  6. 6

    Dry out the moisture released from sugar too once preparation looks dry add chopped nuts remaining ghee and cardomon powder mix well simmer till ghee seperates out

  7. 7

    Halwa is ready once ghee oozes out relish warm or chilled take care jazak allah khair...take care jazak allah khair
