Steps

Place the syrup ingredients in a saucepan over heat. Let it cook until it thickens and is ready.

Mix the nuts well and add the tablespoon of sugar.

Stuff the atayef with the nut mixture and seal them well.

Fry the stuffed atayef in oil over heat until they turn a beautiful golden color.

Remove them and place on a strainer to drain excess syrup. Serve.

After frying, dip them in the cold syrup and let them soak well.

Garnish with the remaining nuts.
