This is a recipe from the Agikuyu community, for new mothers, it was believed to assist in increase of breastmilk production . It's also highly nutritional.

Soak the Njahi for an hour or two before boiling.

Prepare a pot with fresh water, put in the Njahi and boil for a couple of hours or until soft. Pressure cooker cooks within an hour.

Peel the green Banana, pit in a separate pot and boil for about 10 minutes, add in the ripe bananas and the pour the boiled njahi on top to cover the bananas. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, add half tsp of salt. Drain the extra water and mash with a cooking stick or potato masher. Serve with vegetable of choice.
