Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsRice
  2. 1 cupChana Dal / bengal gram
  3. 2Potatoes (Boiled and Mashed)
  4. 6Green Chillies
  5. 3 tbspCoriander Leaves
  6. 1/2 tspChilli Powder
  7. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  8. As required Salt
  9. As required Green Peas (Optional)
  10. As required Grated Carrot (Optional)
  11. As required Oil for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak rice & chana dal separately for 6 hours.

  2. 2

    Add little water and grind it to a smooth paste.

  3. 3

    Steam the potatoes. Remove the skin and mash it.

  4. 4

    Add potatoes to rice & chana dal batter.

  5. 5

    You can also add green peas and grated carrot for a healthy option.

  6. 6

    Add to the batter, green chillies, coriander leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix it well.

  7. 7

    Heat little oil/ghee/butter on a dosa plate. Pour a spoonful of the batter and cook on both sides. Enjoy it with coriander chutney
