Lentil Soup

Steps

Place the lentils, tomato, potato, onion, and carrot in a pot. Add enough water to cover the ingredients halfway. Bring to a boil, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.

Simmer until all the vegetables are fully cooked, then blend everything well with an immersion blender until smooth.

Add salt, black pepper, and cumin to taste. Toast the vermicelli noodles in a pan until golden, then add them to the soup. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant and add it to the soup as well. Let the vermicelli cook completely in the soup.

Serve hot, with lemon on the side for those who like it.
