Ingredients

  • halfMalenge
  • 1.75 kgWheat flour
  • to tasteSalt
  • Cooking oil or fat
  • Warm water

Steps

    Wash clean the vegetable fruit and slice it into your desired shapes. And boil it till well cooked. Put in a blender (or a food mixer) and blend well till it's fine. Pour in a bowl and let it cool. I forgot to take snaps at this stage.

    Now add in some salt to taste and mix well. Start adding in your flour as you mix well to form a dough. Add some little oil and start kneading the dough for around 10minutes, and cover with a cling film for 20 minutes.

    Knead again for 5 minutes. Start Making the balls for the chapatis depending on your desired size. The more you "twist or roll" the better for layers.

    Roll the balls, to make a good circular shape.

    Now place them on a cooking pan, let them heat on both sides without oil, then put some little oil and cook, do the same on the other side.

    When done, let them rest for a while before serving them with a dish of your choice. You can roll them or place them flat on the plate. Enjoy!
