"Whole" Malenge Chapati#authorsmarathon#

Why not try this one out? Whole to me Means, not removing the skin, and the seeds when boiling the Malenge (Pumpkin). It's full, nutritious, and tastier. Good for the whole family, both the young and old too.

Why not try this one out? Whole to me Means, not removing the skin, and the seeds when boiling the Malenge (Pumpkin). It's full, nutritious, and tastier. Good for the whole family, both the young and old too.
Steps
- 1
Wash clean the vegetable fruit and slice it into your desired shapes. And boil it till well cooked. Put in a blender (or a food mixer) and blend well till it's fine. Pour in a bowl and let it cool. I forgot to take snaps at this stage.
- 2
Now add in some salt to taste and mix well. Start adding in your flour as you mix well to form a dough. Add some little oil and start kneading the dough for around 10minutes, and cover with a cling film for 20 minutes.
- 3
Knead again for 5 minutes. Start Making the balls for the chapatis depending on your desired size. The more you "twist or roll" the better for layers.
- 4
Roll the balls, to make a good circular shape.
- 5
Now place them on a cooking pan, let them heat on both sides without oil, then put some little oil and cook, do the same on the other side.
- 6
When done, let them rest for a while before serving them with a dish of your choice. You can roll them or place them flat on the plate. Enjoy!
