Add the flour, yeast and salt into a bowl.Melt the butter and milk together and leave to be lukewarm.Beat the egg, sugar and oil together. Make a well in the flour and add the egg mixture.Add the lukewarm milk mixture and mix through with your hands to form a soft dough.Knead the dough for 15 mins and cover with plastic. Leave to rise for an hour till double size.Preheat the oven at 180°c.

Divide the dough into 12 balls.Roll them out into logs, wrap around 2 fingers putting 1 end under and through the center then the other end over and through the center.Place on a lightly greased tray,spacing them apart.Cover again and leave to rise for 45/60 mins.Brush the rolls with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds if required. Place in oven for 20/25 mins till golden. Brush with butter and leave to cool.
