Ingredients

15-20 mins
  • 1/2 cupflattened rice
  • 2boiled potatoes
  • 3/4 cupsliced onion
  • 2green chilli
  • 1 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tbspturmeric powder for colour
  • 1/2 tbspgaram masala
  • 1 pinchred chilli powder (optional)
  • as neededOil, for deep frying
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

15-20 mins
  1. 1

    Boil the potatoes.Peel and mash them while they are warm.

  2. 2

    Add washed flattened rice with boiled potatoes and mash them well

  3. 3

    Add the chopped green chillies, chopped coriander leaves,salt, turmeric powder, garam masala and red chilli powder to the smashed potatoes and flattened rice.

  4. 4

    Take a small amount from the mashed potatoes and flattened rice. Make them into a round shape and flatten them.

  5. 5

    Take a frying pan and add oil to it.fry them in the oil, wait till each one turns golden brown in colour.

  6. 6

    Separate the tikkis from the fry pan onto a plate.Now it is ready to serve. You can also serve it with green salad.
