Clean and thoroughly wash the palak and cook in a pressure cooker with 1/2 cup water.Switch off the flame after 1 whistle.When completely cold grind to make a fine puree.Keep aside.

Make a fine puree of Onion and tomatoes (separate).Add green chillies while making the tomato purée.Heat a heavy bottomed pan and add cumin seeds to it.When the seeds start to crackle add onion paste and grated ginger and garlic to it.Saute for a minute on medium flame and then add tomato purée to it.Add turmeric powder,1/2 tbsp salt and red chilli powder.Cook on low medium flame for about 5-10 minutes.

Add palak puree to it.Add garam masala and 1/2 tbsp salt.Also add 1 cup water.Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes on low flame.Dice paneer into small cubes and add in palak gravy.Add 1 tbsp fresh cream and cook for 5 minutes.Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with some fresh cream.Serve with hot chapatis.
