Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 2 cupbasmati rice
  2. 1/2 kgChicken
  3. 3Bay leaf
  4. 3Star anise
  5. 5-7Cashewnuts
  6. 2 spoonGinger and garlic paste
  7. 1/2 cupGhee and oil (if u want less ghee and.oil u can reduce)
  8. 2Onion
  9. 2Tomato
  10. 2Green chilli
  11. 1 spoonRed chilli powder
  12. 2 spoonGaram masal
  13. 1/4 tsp eachCardamom, clove cinnamon powder
  14. 1 cupMint and coriander leaves
  15. 1/4 cupCurd
  16. to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Keep a.cooker add oil and ghee add cashews bay leaf and star green chillies

  2. 2

    Add onion and saute till it turns golden brown.add tomato and saute well

  3. 3

    Add g and g paste and saute.add chilli powder and chicken pieces add salt as well

  4. 4

    Mix well add thick curd and add c c c powder and keep mixing.add garam masal and.mint and coriander leaves

  5. 5

    Now add water 3 and 3/4 cups of water (already water will be there since we have added curd tomato and chicken)

  6. 6

    Now add rice and close the lid and DON'T place the whistle

  7. 7

    NOTE:; keep the stove in very very low flame and switch it off exactly in 11 minutes. And leave it for half an hour.

  8. 8

    Now open yummy chicken biriyani is ready..

  9. 9

    I usually keep very very low flame by turning the switch to off position.in that position the flame.will be very very low
