Ingredients

  1. 2 cupssplit red lentils (about 400 grams)
  2. 6 cupswater (about 1.4 liters)
  3. 2chicken bouillon cubes
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric
  6. 1/4 teaspoonground cumin
  7. 4 tablespoonsvegetable oil
  8. 3medium onions, chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all the ingredients in a pot and cook over low heat until the lentils are tender, then blend the soup until smooth.

  2. 2

    Alternatively, you can use a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes, then blend the soup.

  3. 3

    Add fresh lemon juice to taste when serving.
