Place 2 egg whites in a hand mixer and whip until stiff peaks form, about 30 seconds.

Add 1/2 cup sugar (120 ml) and mix briefly to combine.

Use a piping bag to shape the meringues, or simply spoon them onto a baking sheet like I did.

Bake for 1 hour in a convection oven at 250°F (120°C).
