Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsudad dal
  2. 500 grams Thick yoghurt
  3. to taste salt and sugar
  4. as requiredGreen chutney
  5. as requiredImli chutney
  6. 1 tspRoasted jeera Powder
  7. 1 tspLal mirch powder (optional)
  8. to tasteBlack salt
  9. as requiredOil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and soak udad dal for 4 to 6 hours

  2. 2

    Grind the dal into a thick paste

  3. 3

    Add 1/2 tsp salt and mix it until it is fluffy. At this point dal will change the colour means more whitish

  4. 4

    Now take some portion and fry it medium heat.

  5. 5

    Other side in a big vessel put lukewarm water with 1 tsp salt.

    After frying the Vadas put into that hot water

  7. 7

    After half an hour take Vadas and squeeze it very well and placed it in the plate

  8. 8

    Now pour dahi /yoghurt on the top of the vadas. Then add some green chutney and imli chutney from the top. Sprinkle roasted jeera Powder, lal mirch powder and black salt
