Steps
- 1
This is a simple recipe to make a mushroom dish as a starter or snack.
- 2
Add the oil to a saucepan and let it heat up. Next, add the onions and fry until translucent.
- 3
Then add the mushrooms and cover with a lid. Let the mushrooms slowly start giving off moisture.
- 4
Add the salt at this point and let it cook properly for 5-7 minutes. Stir in between.
- 5
Once the mushrooms change colour and shrink, add the black pepper and mix well. Switch off the gas and let it sit in it's own heat for sometime. For those who it want it moist this timing is fine. For those who prefer it dry, open the lid and fry it for a couple of more minutes.
- 6
Optional: substitute black pepper with ginger-garlic paste, but add it right after onions get translucent.
