Ingredients

30 min.
  1. 1.1 lbspeeled shrimp, previously boiled (500 grams)
  2. 1/2 cupketchup (120 ml)
  3. 1/2 cupClamato (120 ml)
  4. 1 tablespoonWorcestershire sauce (15 ml)
  5. 1/2 tablespoonlime juice (7 ml)
  6. 1/2 cupshrimp cooking water (120 ml)
  7. 1medium tomato, diced
  8. 1/2onion, finely chopped
  9. Chopped fresh cilantro
  10. 1/2avocado, diced
  11. 1serrano pepper, finely chopped
  12. Hot sauce (such as Valentina or Tamazula)
  13. Saltine crackers
  14. Tip: You can use raw shrimp instead of cooked shrimp

    Wash and peel the shrimp, then boil until cooked. Set aside.

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix the ketchup, shrimp cooking water, Clamato, lime juice, and Worcestershire sauce until you have a smooth sauce.

  3. 3

    Add the diced tomato, chopped onion, and cilantro to the sauce.

  4. 4

    Add the cooked shrimp to the mixture and combine with the other ingredients. Let it rest for a few minutes.

  5. 5

    Pour into glasses and garnish with avocado, chopped serrano pepper, whole cilantro leaves, and serve with saltine crackers and hot sauce.
