Steps

Cut off the top of onion and peel off the outer layer

Place the onion cut side down.

Cut onion about 1/2 inch from the top roots to create the petals.

Now flip the onion over and gently pull apart the petals.

Keep all flower shape onion in iced water.

Now In a large bowl mix together all flour, oregano, garlic salt, cummin and pepper... etc spices.

Pour beetroot puree and make pakoda like paste.

Dip the onion into this paste and make sure paste gets in between each of the petals.

-Now sprinkle some sesame seeds and keep aside for few minutes.

Now heat enough oil and deep the onion till float.

Carefully flip the onion and allow it to fry for an additional2- 3 minutes.

Remove fried from oil and keep in paper towels and shake a little chaat masala over the top.

Serve with sauce or chutney.
