Ingredients

  1. 1 cupToor dal
  2. 1chopped onion
  3. 2grinded tomatoes
  4. 1 tspmustard seeds
  5. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  6. 4curry leaves
  7. 1 tspsalt
  8. 1/3 tspred chilli powder
  9. 1 tspturmeric powder
  10. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  11. 1 tbsppure ghee
  12. as requiredwater according to need

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Wash the dal properly & put it in the cooker with 1 cup of water. Give 2 whistles & switch off the flame.

    Heat pure ghee in a pan with mustard & cumin seeds. When aroma smells away, add onions & cook till they become pink.

  3. 3

    Add grinded tomatoes & all the masalas. Cook for few minutes.

  4. 4

    Add this tadka to cooked dal & mix well.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with rice.
