Ingredients

45 minutes
3 servings
  1. 200 gramsRajma/kidney beans
  2. 1tej pattha/bay leaf
  3. 1black cardamom
  4. as per taste salt
  5. 1onion chopped finely
  6. 4cloves
  7. 1 inchcinnamon
  8. 1 tspcumin seeds
  9. 1 tspginger garlic paste
  10. 3tomatoes puree
  11. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  12. 1green chilli slit
  13. 1 tspchilli powder
  14. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  15. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  16. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  17. 2 tspghee/clarified butter
  18. 1 tspcrushed kasuri methi
  19. 1 tbspchopped coriander leaves
  20. 1/2 tspamchur powder

Cooking Instructions

    Soak rajma in water overnight, take a cooker add 3 glasses of water, add soaked rajma, salt, black cardamom, a bay leaf close lid get 6 whistles, make sure rajma is softly cooked, & keep aside.

    Keep a saucepan on a medium flame add ghee heat up, add chopped onion, cumin seeds, slit chili, cloves, cinnamon saute it till onion changes it's color to light brown add ginger garlic paste saute it again for 3-4 minutes

    Add tomato puree saute it, let it cook by covering the lid, cook until it becomes thick in consistency, at this stage add all masala powders, turmeric, chili, garam masala, cumin, coriander, amchur, powders..give it a mix saute it for two minutes, add cooked rajma, stir well& add crushed Kasuri methi..(crush in between palms) cook until you get a thick consistency, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves, enjoy your delicious heavenly rajma curry with some hot steamy rice 😋
