Ingredients

  1. 150 gmKidney Beans
  2. 1 tspGhee (clarified butter)
  3. 1/2Cinnamon stick
  4. 1Clove
  5. 1/2 tbspGinger Garlic Paste
  6. 1/2 tspCorrainder Powder
  7. As per taste Red chilli powder
  8. 1/4 tspRed colour powder
  9. 1Onion
  10. 2Tomatoes
  11. HandfulCorrainder leaves
  12. As per taste Salt

Cooking Instructions

30-45 mins
  1. 1

    Soak kidney beans overnight for 12 hours.

  2. 2

    Add the beans with extra water into a pressure cooker with salt and cook it for 10 mins on low flame.

  3. 3

    On the other hand, start chopping onions and tomatoes into pieces and make a fine paste of it in a blender

  4. 4

    Take a pan and add ghee to it. Add cinnamon, clove, cardamom and ginger garlic paste to it and saute till it becomes light brown.

  5. 5

    Add Onion paste and cook it till it becomes light brown and starts leaving ghee.

  6. 6

    Add tomato puree, coriander powder, red chilli powder, red colour and let them cook on medium flame till it starts leaving ghee.

  7. 7

    Add beans along with water and let it simmer for 5 minutes so that all the flavours blend in perfectly. Add Coriander leaves on top. Serve.

It's good, I cooked it yesterday. You forgot to include cardamom in the list of ingredients, I added 3 green cardamoms. I also did not use all the water from the beens, so it was thicker,which I preferred. I also added 1 heaped tablespoon of Kashmiri chili powder for flavor and color. Excellent. Thank you.
