One of my grandmother's quick and easy recipe, kid-friendly and with lots of fun.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the butter with the powdered sugar, add the egg and mix very well. Then add the flour together with the baking powder and knead well until the dough is soft.
- 2
Make the dough into a ball and cut it in half. One half mix it with cocoa and knead it very well till all the cocoa is incorporated.
- 3
On a parchment paper, roll each ball into a rectangle and place them one on top of each other. Roll them tightly into a log and refrigerate it for about 30minutes.
- 4
Take the log out and cut in slices of less than 1cm width. Put the slices in a baking tray, on a parchment paper, few cm apart and bake them for about 20 minutes.
- 5
Then let them cool on a rack and even if they are hard, they will become softer in a few days. Enjoy!

I wanted to make easy, cute, and crispy cookies. In Step 2, I wrote, "fold it in," but to be honest, you can just mix the dough a bit. When you roll out the dough, it creates layers so it's going to be flaky. Since you coat the cookies with sugar, I reduced the amount of sugar in the dough to 20 g. Add more if you'd like. I use 10 g of sugar for the dough, and coat it with a lot of granulated sugar. Recipe by Pekopuku cookpad.japan -

I want to eat a snack! So I made these simple and crunchy cookies.Since they're not the most neatly made cookies, I would say that they are for personal use rather than using them as a gift.Step 2: I wrote "roughly combine," but moderately combining is fine. Rolling up the dough creates layers, so after baking they become crunchy.Since these are sprinkled with granulated sugar, I only use a moderate 20 g. You can increase the amount if you want. I usually use 10 g and then sprinkle with tons of sugar. For 40 x 4 cm [15.7 x 1.6 in] cookies. Recipe by Pekopuku cookpad.japan -

Every year around Christmas season with my family, we decorate these cookies. You'll get sick of decorating them by nights end because the recipe yields about 6 dozen! But they're really good cookies if I say so myself!! Thanks to my photographer hubby Mike to always make a nice picture out of something so simple! kokomayla -
