Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsabut urad daal
  2. 1/4 cuprajma
  3. 2 cupTomatoes puree
  4. Pinchhing
  5. 1 tspred chilli powder
  6. 1 tspcoriander powder
  7. 1 tspturmeric
  8. 2 tbsp or as per tasteSalt
  9. 1green chilli
  10. 2 tbspghee
  11. 8 cupsWater
  12. 1 tspcumin
  13. 2 tspbutter
  14. 1/2 cupcream
  15. 1 tbspginger (chopped)
  16. 2 tspnutmeg powder
  17. 1/4kasuri methi
  18. 1tej patta / Bay leaf
  19. 1dalchini
  20. 1badi elaichi
  21. 2-3long

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    To the daal and rajma,add water ginger,salt.cook till it becomes soft or tender.

    In a pan heat butter,ghee, then add cumin green chilli, tej patta, laung, badi elaichi, hing, dalchini red chilli, turmeric, coriander powder..saute all spices then add tomato puree and stir fry on high flame till the oil seperates.

    Add cooked daal and bring to boil.when gravy becomes thickened or a medium consistency.add cream and give it a stir..(if it needs add salt as per taste).

    Add kasuri methi or garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot daal makhni with roti or butter naan.
