Ingredients

  1. 3 1/2 cupAll-purpose flour
  2. 1 tspBaking soda
  3. 1 tspCream of tartar (optional)
  4. 1/2 tspSalt
  5. 1 cupSoftened unsalted butter
  6. 2 cupSugar
  7. 2 tspVanilla extract
  8. 1 cupSour cream (optional)
  9. 1Extra sugar for sprinkling

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 200°C

    Sift in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar (optional) and salt into a bowl. Set aside.

    In a mixer, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.

  4. 4

    Add sour cream (optional) and mix until combined.

  5. 5

    Add the flour mixture and mix at low speed until combined.

  6. 6

    Scoop dough onto cookie sheet/s and slightly press each cookie, slightly flattening them and coating them/sprinkling them with sugar.

    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
