Cooking Instructions
- 1
take 12 cookies and remove one side of the chocolate cookie and set it aside
- 2
now place a whole cookie at a slight tilt about halfway back on cookie
- 3
add your peanut butter cup by laying it flat against the oreo, so the bottom sticks out
- 4
with a lil bit of icing (I would do white and divide into 2 colors make brown, and orange) attach the malt ball/ turkey head, put a lil brown icing on the reese cup and on the cookie where the malt ball will touch and set it in place
- 5
take and stick 5 candy corn, white tip into the the filling of the cookie standing up, to mske the feathers, put one up top in the middle, then 2 more to each side
- 6
using brown icing take the white tip of a candy corn and glue it to the front of the malt ball, then with the orange icing make a lil ruffle under the malt ball on top of the reese cup

Candy Christmas Tree Candy Christmas Tree
By using the glue gun, you can attach the candy instantly with a little glue. If the surface of the hat is smooth, it will be easy to remove the candy when you want to eat it. Note: It gets hot, so mind you don't burn yourself. You can buy it in the 300 yen section of a 100 yen shop. Recipe by Ranpuai cookpad.japan -
Roasted Turkey Cupcakes Roasted Turkey Cupcakes
I found this in an English-language cookbook I bought recently, and I thought it was really unique, so I tried making it while translating it. The original recipe had some ingredients that are hard to come by, so I adapted it.If you heat the caramel too long it will become hard to form, so warm it up slowly while observing it closely. Use the frosting as a glue to stick together. Recipe by Du-ma cookpad.japan -

Savory Turkey Porcupines Savory Turkey Porcupines
I spent a summer with my great aunt. One night, she made me, a dish from the 1950's that she called "Minute Rice Casserole". She said the recipe used to be on the back of the box of minute rice. My grandmother called them porcupines and I liked the sound of that better. These are very affordable to make but no matter what I tried always so bland. One day I was at the store and discovered a spice mix for Nasi Goreng. Something clicked and I said I wonder if that would make porcupines more tasty. I made plain ones today but you can also add peppers, onion, and/or tomatoes. Also very good with ground beef, it just takes a bit longer to cook. Raven -
Cute Candy Cookies Cute Candy Cookies
I saw a cookie with a candy window on a TV show awhile ago. I thought if it could be made with a black cocoa cookie, it'd make for a nice contrast and be really cute, so I gave it a shot. When I put the candy in before baking the cookie dough would become smashed or stick to the candy and it was quite difficult. So I changed the procedure to add the candy during the middle of baking.Try to fill in the gaps with smashed candy bits as much as possible. The baking may differ depending on your household oven, so adjust the temperature and baking time as necessary. If the temperature is too hot, the candy may burn. It might be a good idea to have candy bits left over when baking so you can fill in any gaps. For the candy, I use orange and pineapple flavored Sakuma drops. Recipe by yotiko cookpad.japan -
Thanksgiving turkey Thanksgiving turkey
It's a little odd that even though I never grew up with the turkey on Thanksgiving tradition, I've been designated turkey-roaster ever since getting married. On the plus side, this has provided plenty of practice. Above is this year's version. I've learned two keys to great turkey over the years: 1) dry brining in salt overnight results in juicier meat and crispier skin, and 2) you need to rest the bird at least an hour to allow the juices to redistribute.
