Sate Ayam/Chicken Satay Sate Ayam/Chicken Satay
One of Indonesian special dishes, there are many kinds of satay from chicken, goat, beef or lamb. This time I made chicken satay with peanut sauce. For the chicken, I use chicken thighs because juicier and have more fat if compare with the breast. But if you like chicken breast you can use it also.#sateayam #chickensatay #yummy #bumbu #kacang #peanutsauce #sate #ayam #bumbu #kacang #Cookpad #CookpadCommunity#Rekreasi_Semarang#CookpadCommunity_Semarang #CookpadCommunity_Indonesia #CookpadCommunity_Usa ZahraS_23 -
Balinese Betutu Spiced + Sweet Soy-Chilli Sauce Grilled Ribs Balinese Betutu Spiced + Sweet Soy-Chilli Sauce Grilled Ribs
Back in 2015, when I attended university in Bandung, Indonesia, I used to eat frequently at this local food stall called Warung Aji Anom. They served the best Balinese foods: betutu chicken, betutu duck, and ribs. The ribs, man. Their ribs were something else: otherworldly tasty, fingerlickingly good. The chicken and duck were spiced with pure betutu (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betutu), but I think the ribs weren't. The ribs were spiced kind of similarly, but also somewhat sweet and hot, which made me think they must be spiced with betutu AND THEN grilled with sweet soy-chilli.For the betutu part, I got the inspiration from https://youtu.be/xbqmFlV7p_M (video is in Indonesian). However, there was no recipe for "Betutu & sweet soy + chilli sauce ribs" everywhere, so this is a moonshot for my current cooking level.Nevertheless, they turned out so good! If you have the time and are curious about local Indonesian dishes, I really recommend this one.Thank youuu @dillasyalala and @rikarumi, for cooking it with me!!! Esp. thank you Dilla for giving the right level of saltiness & the pressure cooker idea; thank you Kak Rika for the life-saving shrimp paste! 🥳 Alifah Syamsul -

Balinese chicken cury Balinese chicken cury

Sop Ayam (Indonesian Chicken Soup) Sop Ayam (Indonesian Chicken Soup)
My first post, cookaa~~!!!Yep, finally, I can publish one of my favorite foods, Sop Ayam (Indonesia chicken soup). Why I called Indonesian chicken soup? That's because Indonesian chicken soup does not thick as western chicken soup. It has clear broth, you can use chicken or other stock. Here, I made it more special than my usual recipe. After visiting many cookpads, I started to gather a recipe from one and other. Thanks cookpad! I got an inspiration! Ehmm...actually, I never measure my spices (many Indonesian never measure how much herbs and spices they used, just use your feeling :D ). So, I just estimate how much I used in this recipe. And, I'm sorry that I didn't record my cooking time, but I think it needed about 40 - 50 minutes, start from preparation 'til ready to serve. Enjoy! rinarahma
