Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pour enough water to about the same level as the yam cubes, add the seasoning cube and black pepper and start cooking on medium heat.
- 2
After 30 minutes, the yam should be soft with a little water in the pot. Add salt and the cubes of butter, stir and set aside to cool down a bit.
- 3
Pour a little vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onions and peppers for about 7 minutes.
- 4
Mash the boiled yam, adding Peak Milk as you mash. You just need to mash the yam for a bit.
- 5
Add the fried peppers and onions and mix very well.Set some vegetable oil in a deep pan to heat up.
- 6
Mould the mashed yam into balls and set aside.Break the eggs and whisk.
- 7
When the oil is hot, coat each yam ball with the beaten egg before throwing into the hot oil. (you can coat it with bread crumbs before coating it with the beating egg) Put as many balls as you can without overcrowding.Stir often and at the first sign of browning, it is ok to take it off the oil.
- 8
Serve with a chilled melon and milk drink .

Creamy and Rich Nagaimo Yam Soup Creamy and Rich Nagaimo Yam Soup
I wanted to enjoy the creamy texture of nagaimo yam in a soup.Finding that a mixture of yam, soy milk and milk produces a cheese-like flavour is a great discovery.- This is tasty as a hot or cold soup. - If it is difficult to blend at Stage 2, add milk. - The nagaimo yam shouldn't be completely smooth. It will taste better if it retains some lumps. Recipe by cafe0305 cookpad.japan -
Pork Tenderloin with Garlic and Ginger, Served with Yam Mash Pork Tenderloin with Garlic and Ginger, Served with Yam Mash
This came about as a result of:A. Really fancying a stew or casserole (it was a very cold day) but only having to cook for myself and not wanting to wait all bloody day.B. Having some pickled garlic and ginger I'd picked up at a French market and was starting to feel slightly guilty about not using yet.The result is this rather nice, warming dish that cost my about '£3. Bargain.NB I appreciate that the picture makes it look like a dog's dinner, I'm pretty sure this is because my phone's camera is shite and I was concentrating when I plated up (I was that hungry). 40% Fe -

Fluffy and Soft~ Nagaimo Yam and Cabbage Okonomiyaki Fluffy and Soft~ Nagaimo Yam and Cabbage Okonomiyaki
I had half of a nagaimo yam and cabbage that had been sitting in my fridge for a long time. Basically, I could use just these ingredients for a late-night snack; it is simple and light, and is really filling! This is the perfect recipe. More than anything, I can't get enough of the fluffiness.A sign that it has finished cooking is that it will plump up all over. It is soft and fluffy when it is done cooking . It will still be soft, so please take care when transferring to a plate. The tempura flour has eggs mixed into it, so this is great for holding everything together. Simple is best instead of preparing everything! For about 15 cm [5.9 in]-diamater okonomiyaki pancake. Recipe by Shinyori-na cookpad.japan -
