Crock Pot Chili

Ingredients

  1. 1-2lbs. ground beef
  2. 2-4 cansbeans (use your favs!)
  3. 1onion, thick sliced
  4. 2peppers, thick sliced (use your favs!)
  5. mushrooms, thick sliced
  6. 1 candiced tomatoes
  7. 1 cantomato- based sauce
  8. to tastehot sauce, (optional)
  9. garlic, several cloves diced
  10. 2 tbspflour
  11. 2 tspsugar
  12. 1 tbspgarlic powder
  13. 1 tbspcayenne pepper
  14. 1 tbspcumin
  15. 4 tspchili powder
  16. 1 tbsponion powder
  17. 1 tspbasil leaves
  18. to tastesalt and pepper,
  19. 1-2 tspbrown sugar
  20. 1 canbeer of your choice (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    In small bowl, mix spices (flour, sugar, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, basil, salt & pepper, brown sugar. Add / substitute spices as desired - it's your chili after all!

    In pan, brown beef. Add hot sauce and a couple shots of beer as desired. To the beef, not your mouth.

    Chop onion, mushrooms, pepper/s, and any other veggies of choice. Dice garlic. Save for later.

    Drain beans and corn, and hurl them in crock pot. Chuck in sauce and diced tomatoes, too.

    When beef is browned, resist urge to pour it directly down your throat. Drain and fling into crock pot.

    Add oil to pan and sautee veggies for a few minutes. Toss them all into crock pot.

    Lob seasoning mix into crock pot. Feel free to deeply inhale spice aromas first.

    Splash beer into crock pot.

    Cook on medium to high for 4-8 hours.

  10. 10

    Profit.

I didnt have cayenne pepper so I substituted paprika and used a blonde ale as my choice of beer and it turned out so amazing.
