Ingredients

30 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 bowlpigeonpeas lentil
  2. 3-4sliced green chillies
  3. 5-6curry leaves
  4. As RequiredCoriander leaves to garnish
  5. 1 tspoil
  6. 1 tspmustard seeds
  7. Half teaspoon of turmeric powder
  8. Half a bowl of jaggery
  9. 1dollop of ghee
  10. As per tasteSalt
  11. 3-4leftover chapatis
  12. 1 small bowl of peanuts

Cooking Instructions

    Soak a bowl of pigeon peas dal or lentils water for 5 to 10 minutes. Then pressure cooks the dal for 2 to 3 whistles.

    Heat a cooking vessel and add oil to it.

  3. 3

    When the oil gets hot add the mustard seeds, finely cut green chilies, and curry leaves.

    When all these splutters add the dal and mix with a ladle.

    Add a bowl of water to it and let all this boil add the peanuts too

  6. 6

    Then add the jaggery and salt and mix all this thoroughly.

  7. 7

    Let all this come to a boil then add the leftover chapatis and a dollop of ghee.

    Sprinkle some coriander leaves.

  9. 9

    Relish it warm.
