I learned how to do this from an old family friend. She is an older sister to one of my best friends and has begun to slip away from us as she has dementia. I will always treasure this old recipe. Jane Crum is someone I admire.

Place lid on jar and gently shake turning jar upside down and tight side up to get salt, vinegar, and water mixed.

  6. 6

Place in refrigerator to cool. So good!

My first MIL always made these cucumbers in the summer. My favorite way to eat them is with a grilled hamburger patty and a big pile of mashed potatoes, nothing more. One of my favorite memories of her.
