Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsdry beans
  2. 50mlMusherekha(tenderizer from dry burnt banana or beans leaves)
  3. 500 mlwater
  4. Blended mix of onions and bananas(optional)
  5. Blended/ grinded roasted ground nuts

Cooking Instructions

1hr 30 mins
  1. 1

    Pick your beans and roast them on medium heat

  2. 2

    Let them cool and peel them

  3. 3

    Bring to boil in water and musherekha(traditional Luhyia tenderizer with unique taste)

  4. 4

    After 1 hour of boiling, add the blended onions and tomatoes if you like or can omit this stage

  5. 5

    Let them cook while covered.

  6. 6

    Add your groubdnuts to the stew and mix well.

  7. 7

    Serve with either ugali, rice or chapati and enjoy
