Ingredients

30 minutes

  1. For making caramelized onion rice :
  2. 1 bowlbasmati rice
  3. 1 1/2 bowl of water
  4. 2 tbsp cooking oil
  5. 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  6. 2onions
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  10. Matar Paneer :
  11. 1 bowlmatar paneer

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.

    Peel, Wash and chop onions lengthwise.

  3. 3

    Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown colour. Remove half of fried onions in a plate.

    Now add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder in pressure cooker and mix well.

  5. 5

    Add soaked rice and mix well. Add water. Place the lid and pressure cook till 2 whistles and switch off the flame.

    Prepare matar paneer. Recipe is attached in link.

    Open the lid. Stir rice add some fried onions over it.

  8. 8

    Serve hot garnished with caramelized onions, carrot, cauliflower pickle and masala matar paneer.
