Cooking Instructions

Add in the mixing bowl half of the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt and whisk to combine

Zest a lemon and squeeze half of it

In a separate bowl add eggs, second half of sugar, lemon juice and zest, sour cream and melted butter and mix thoroughly using whisk or a hand mixer

Combine dry ingredients with our sour cream and eggs mixture and whisk vigorously until smooth and combined, hand mixer could be at hand here. Some lumps may still occur but that's ok

Pour the batter into prepared pan. To prepare it just cover the pan upfront with batter or lay it down with a parchment paper

Bake in the preheated to 180 °C oven for 50-55 min or until inserted in the middle wooden stick will come out dry.

This step is not necessary but i like having additional lemon taste. Let cake cool down for 20 min. Stir together the lemon juice from the left half of the lemon and confectioners’ sugar for the syrup. Brush the cake with syrup and let it cool down completely
