Ingredients

Approx 150gms
  1. 25dates
  2. 1 tspmustard seeds
  3. 1/2 tspfenugreek seeds
  4. 20garlic pods
  5. 2 inchginger
  6. 5green chilli
  7. leavesCurry
  8. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  9. 2 tspred chilli powder
  10. 3/4 cupTamarind puree
  11. 2 tsppowdered Jaggery
  12. 5 tbspoil
  13. To tasteSalt

Cooking Instructions

    Wash dates well and remove the seeds and chop it into 4 pieces

  2. 2

    Take a saucepan add oil let oil heat well. Now add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and heat till it turn golden brown and starts releasing aroma

  3. 3

    Now add curry leaves, chopped garlic, ginger, finely chopped green chillies, and saute it till brownish in colour

  4. 4

    Now add turmeric powder chilli powder tamarind pulp and mix well on low flame

  5. 5

    Now add chopped dates, salt and jaggery cook until mixture thicken.. Keep stiring in between,once done put of the flame and top it up with one table spoon of oil and close the lid

    Once cooled store in airtight container, it goes well with chapati, paratha or as a side with dal rice
