Pan fried crispy Japanese agedashi tofu Pan fried crispy Japanese agedashi tofu
It is one of the most popular appetizers at izakaya in Japan, but also a great home-cooking dish. Typical agedashi tofu are coated with potato starch, I personally prefer crispier so I use the bread crumbs for coating, try this extra crispy tofu dish served with grated daikon, katsuobushi (bonito flakes) and tsuyu! Here's my video making agedashi tofu with english sub: https://youtu.be/2U7bSGr5mO8 Yuuka' -

Meat-Free Silken Tofu Hamburger Meat-Free Silken Tofu Hamburger
I wanted to try making a hamburger from tofu. I wondered what the hamburger would be like if I used silken tofu, so I came up with this. It was surprisingly easier to make compared to a meat hamburger and it beat the flavor!Don't be stingy with the panko! Make sure to use the same amount as the tofu! Unlike meat, even they burns a little, they will still smell and taste great. Just cover up the burned part with sauce! I always eat them with teriyaki sauce (soy sauce, sugar, mirin, katakuriko dissolved in water, and ground sesame seeds). If you are making these for two, you could use all 3 of the smaller 3-block tofu packs that you often see. Use the same amount of panko as the tofu, one small onion, and one egg (the size of the egg doesn't matter). It's also fine to use firm tofu instead of silken tofu. Recipe by CNA cookpad.japan -

My Secret Fluffy Tofu Pancakes My Secret Fluffy Tofu Pancakes
When I was little, I really loved these pancakes my mother made! This is based off her recipe.Mix well in Steps 1 and 2, but if you over-mix in Steps 3 and 4 you'll ruin it.When you feel like maybe it needs to be mixed just a little more, you should stop.Heat up a frying pan, turn off the heat, and then cool the surface with a wet cloth. Before turning the heat back on, plop the batter into the pan.If you do it well, they will be about 2 cm thick. A melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Recipe by poma1125 cookpad.japan -
