Rectangular Shokupan Loaf Rectangular Shokupan Loaf
With a family of four, a square loaf of bread (1-loaf size) is gone in a day, isn't it? So I finally bought a 2-loaf size bread pan, researched the issue of 2-loaf breads for days, and finally got to the right baking time! The rising time will vary depending on the season. This is just an approximation, so please check how the dough is rising with your own eyes.☆For those of you that have a 2-rack oven, set the oven to 2-rack baking mode, and place the bread on the bottom shelf. Bake for 10 minutes at 190 °C, then reduce the heat to 170 °C and bake for 20 minutes. The bread will bake more evenly that way. Recipe by Gunnyara cookpad.japan -

Marbled Loaf Bread Marbled Loaf Bread
I was thinking of baking a Pullman loaf, good for a gift, and the I saw the beautiful color of the "Kyoto Sanshoku". I came up with the idea to change the strawberry dough to purple potato dough, and I baked the bread with the ingredients on hand.I gave up baking the danish loaf because of the hot weather. In stead of that, I put heavy cream in the dough to give the bread a rich flavor.Adjust the amount of purple sweet potato and matcha powder to your liking! I think more richier matcha dough would be nice. (- )ムムムI'm proud of myself to have make this recipe because of the beautiful colour of the bread slice. The bread is fluffy because of the heavy cream, egg and cake flour in the dough. It is very delicious. :) Recipe by Youtank cookpad.japan -
Reduced Butter Banana Tea Muffins Reduced Butter Banana Tea Muffins
I'm into baking banana cakes and I've been experimenting by using less butter, adding tea leaves, etc. Finally I came up with this recipe. At first, I put in tea leaves as they were, but they lost their aroma and the texture was not good. So I tried with ground tea leaves.Be sure to grind the tea leaves. By doing so, it improves the aroma and texture. If you want to increase the tea aroma, you can add 2 tea bags and it's also delicious .Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the banana. You can make banana muffins without the tea leaves and they are also delicious . Irish Tea Loaf | Barmbrack Irish Tea Loaf | Barmbrack
This is a new improved recipe.I don't usually celebrate St. Patrick's Day, so I thought, why not join in the fun this year? I had made Boxty yesterday. It is an Irish potatoes pancake which I had posted on my Instagram profile. So why stop there? That's when I browsed thru' Donal's repertoire of recipes and found this awesome Irish Tea Loaf or Barmbrack. They usually serve this on Halloween, why not on St. Patrick's Day too? This tea loaf really reminds me of the Xmas cake; it has the same dense and fruity citrusy intense flavors. Anyway, to make life easier, I am using a high quality dried fruit mix. Be sure they are high quality; always read the ingredients list. If you see any chemicals which you can't even pronounce, it is best not to buy it. Or you can simply google them if they are indeed harmful. The hardest part after baking is to allow the tea loaf to be cooled, unmolded and stored. It does tastes better after 24 hrs. I kept it wrapped and outta sight so I wouldnt be tempted to slice and eat, cos I know once I start, I can't stop. These are usually served with butter spread with a cup of tea on the side. Without much further ado, let's get started with the recipe. Happy St. Paddy's Day / Happy Halloween! Daniel Lim -

Banana Bread Banana Bread
When I was young, my grandma used to always bake banana bread for us, and we'd eat a slice for breakfast every morning before school. Now that I'm older, I've found myself frequenting coffee shops in the morning, searching for the sweet smell of fresh baked banana bread. On most day, a slice is not difficult to find, but every once in a while, my go to spot sells out before I can reach it. For those days, I've started baking my own.Banana bread is very simple to make, and this recipe is very straightforward, though I've added my own twist by baking the bananas with sugar first to add a little caramelization and bring out the banana's aroma.Hope you enjoy! kev.link
