Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, pour the milk into a large bowl and bring it to a boil on the stove, then turn off the heat. Wash and grate all the carrots, then heat ghee in a pan on the stove and sauté the carrots in the pan for 5 minutes.
- 2
Add all the milk and sugar to the pan and cook the carrots on medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring continuously. Then, reduce the heat and let the carrots cook in the milk. (This may take at least 25 minutes.) Stir occasionally to prevent the carrots from sticking to the bottom.
- 3
Once all the milk has evaporated, add the khoya, finely chopped nuts, and cardamom powder to the pan and sauté for another 2 minutes. Then turn off the heat. (If you are using more milk, you may not need to add khoya.) Now our Gajar Ka Halwa is completely ready. Garnish with cashews and almonds and serve to all family members.
