Pretty Heart-Shaped Roll Cake

I thought a heart-shaped roll cake would be cute, so I tried making one.
When making the cut in Step 6, cut off only the sponge cake portion to make the half heart shape.
In Step 9, turn the cake over while it is chilling in the fridge so that it keeps its shape and doesn't turn out flat on one side.
You can use the left-over cake from Step 2 in another dessert, like a trifle. Recipe by esu

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Bake the cake in a 30 x 30 cm pan. Beat the cream until soft peaks form.

- 2
Cut the baked cake. First, cut the cake at 18 cm from the bottom. Then, cut the bigger piece in half. You will now have 3 pieces. You will use the bottom two pieces.
- 3
From each of the two shorter sides of the rectangular cake, slice off the edges at 45° angles (see Step 12 for more details). Spread cream thickly on the surface of the cake. You'll use the rest of the cream later.
- 4
Fold the cake into a tear-shape. Bring the two ends together neatly. They should fit well because of the diagonal slices you made earlier to the edges.
- 5
Make the other half of the cake the same way. Wrap the cakes in plastic wrap (or something similar) and place in the fridge.
- 6
While visualizing the shape of half a heart, cut the cake diagonally from the center of the rounded part of the tear shape (the left side of the cake in this picture) to the bottom of the cake.
- 7
Cut the other cake the same way. Put the two halves together.
- 8
Use the remaining cream like glue to stick the two halves together. Arrange the heart shape by making sure that the cut edges are aligned correctly.
- 9
Wrap the cake in plastic wrap (or something similar), and let it rest in the fridge for a while.
- 10
Once the cake has chilled well, slice off the rough ends for a clean cross-section on both sides. Portion out the rest of the cake into whatever sized pieces you like.
- 11
It's finished. ♪
- 12
Postscript. When making the diagonal cut in Step 3, slice off the edges of the cake at 45° angles as shown in the picture. After cutting both ends like this, the tear shape should be easy to make.

Secret Heart Roll Cake Secret Heart Roll Cake
I thought about making Valentine's Day treats using cream cheese. I also wanted to try making this kind of roll cake and somehow the two ideas blended together. If your strawberries don't give it much of a pink colour, you can top the colour up with pink food colouring. My family's baking tray is 30 x 30 cm. If I make a sponge of this size, the heart doesn't wrap up very well so I cut the sponge into a rectangle. Please prepare a baking tray of a similar size to mine. You can eat the excess sponge with whipped cream. It tastes really good. For 1 roll cake. Recipe by Asaemon cookpad.japan -
Pretty Roll Cake Pretty Roll Cake
Today, we have a pretty roll cake filled with a red heart to share with you. The method involves separating the cake into two parts. The first part is the roll, which is made of chiffon cake. The red heart inside is made of butter cake. We separate the types of cake because we want the heart to be firm. If the heart were made of chiffon, it would be too soft. Premium Roll Cake Premium Roll Cake
I saw a TV show where they showed a premium roll cake factory that placed roll cake slices into cupcake cups. This was a revelation to me, since I couldn't figure out how they made this type of roll-cupcake before! Chocolate Roll Cake with Pink Raspberry Cream Chocolate Roll Cake with Pink Raspberry Cream
I like the combination of chocolate and raspberries. I decided to match them in a roll cake.It is easier to slice the cake after the filling cream has set completely.By adding the raspberries to the cream in two batches, you can still enjoy some chunks of raspberries. It's also OK if you want to add them in one go. Recipe by esu cookpad.japan -
Fluffy Chocolate Roll Cake Fluffy Chocolate Roll Cake
My other fluffy and moist roll cake recipe I made was rated very highly so I decided to make a chocolate version too. When mixing in the cake flour or mixing the cocoa batter, stir gently to avoid getting rid of too many air bubbles. For Step 9, I like the crust of the sponge so I don't take it off if it won't separate easily, but if you want the roll cake to look its best, I recommend removing it. Pure White Roll Cake Pure White Roll Cake
This is a recipe that uses up the leftover egg whites from making bread several days in a row.As long as you beat the egg whites properly, the other steps are easy. Use your handheld mixer on the low setting, and beat in the same direction! Spread the batter out on the pan as evenly as possible. If you keep fiddling with the batter or the whipped cream filling, it will lead to failure. Stop working on it when it's enough.
