Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 180degrees centigrade
- 2
Chop the cod into large chunks
- 3
Prepare your coating by adding the mayonnaise to a bowl with the milk and mix. You want a thick milky creamy consistency
- 4
Cover a small plate with a layer of plain flour and season. Do the same with the breadcrumbs on another plate.
- 5
Coat each cod piece in flour, then in the mayonnaise mix, then in breadcrumbs and place on a baking tray.
- 6
Bake the goujons for 10-12 minutes until crispy. They’ll be quite pale but still taste great. You could add a little oil to the breadcrumbs before coating... this might give them a little extra colour.

Crispy Baked Cod Crispy Baked Cod
This has got to be one of the simplest, yet most tasty fish recipes I've yet to make! Coating with the mayo not only helps the crumbs to stick but keeps the filets moist so they don't dry out. The fish and sauce pairs nicely with spaghetti squash lightly tossed with a bit of coconut oil, salt & pepper; and green beans. I thought the lemon butter sauce was heavenly served over all of it! Healthier Fish Croquettes with Hanpen Fish Cakes Healthier Fish Croquettes with Hanpen Fish Cakes
I wanted to make fish croquettes, but they don't sell minced fish in my neighborhood! *sigh* That's why I tried mashing hanpen to see how it would go. It ended up really tasty!※The croquettes rise when deep-fried, so you can shape them slightly thinly!※Keep your eyes on the croquettes since they'll brown quite fast. They don't need to be cooked thoroughly since it's just hanpen inside. Recipe by Marrietty cookpad.japan -
