I made this easy and simple flavoured compote because I wanted to make a cake using peach compote.

Ingredients

  1. 4Peaches
  2. 2 1/2 cupWater
  3. 100 gramsSugar
  4. 1 tbspLemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the peaches well, and make some cuts, then break in half. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. You don't need to peel the skin.

    Add the peaches with the skin on, and all the other ingredients into a pot. Simmer over medium heat. When it starts to boil, cover with a drop lid, and simmer over low heat.

    Simmer for 20 ~ 25 minutes total after turning on the heat. The water is mostly evaporated, and the peaches turn slightly pink. Peel the skin off while they are still hot.

    Serve in a bowl, and it's done.

    Dilute the simmered sauce with soda for peach soda. It's delicious.
