Cinnamon toast

I'm not a cook, but here's my first attempt at becoming savvy in the kitchen.

This is a scaled down version of my bread pudding recipe and different bread. I’m trying to fake my grandkids out and make them think it’s French toast. Little beggars are picky! But of course, Grammy will try anything.

My father used to make French toast all the time. As I grew up I wanted to make it. So through trial and error I came up with this recipe. My father's used to be a little soggy, but mine is not. This is sure to be a quick, and easy meal. Cinnamon is optional, so is syrup.

Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast

French toast, cut into cubes and toasted on all sides. It has more crispy edges than regular French toast. Also rolled in cinnamon sugar for that extra crunch and flavor!

I find it overwhelming if both sides are buttered so I put butter, sugar, and cinnamon on only one side of the bread. The measurement of the butter, sugar, and cinnamon would depend on your preference. :) I don't have a toaster so I use pan instead.

This smells so good in the oven . Reminds me of Sticky Buns. They have a Gooey center. The bread is soft. It just about melts in your mouth.

I was scrounging around and found a bag of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Someone left a corner worth in the bag. Not enough to really have a bowl of cereal, but too much to throw away. I also had some cinnamon raisin bread, so I figured why not?

It is a Saturday and I was in the mood to make french toast!

My daughter loves it! It taste amazing on its own. Doesn't need powder sugar or syrup but there always a plus :) Great with bacon! :hungry

I've made no secret of the fact that I can't bake. Which is unfortunate, because freshly baked cinnamon buns, with or without cream cheese frosting, are among my very, very favourite foods. So I made this dessert to compensate, at least a little. It's sweet, it's buttery, it's cinnamony, it's pretty darned good. The observant may notice that the recipe calls for 9 slices of bread, but the picture only shows 6 toasts. That's because my daughter swiped 3 while I was setting up the photo. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is.

#mycookbook We were given this at our Wedding shower, by my wife's aunt. We first made it for our first Christmas and it was amazing. We thought that it may be soggy, but it was perfect.Enjoy!

This time, its is my first attempt at making a bread recipe. It unexpectedly went very well.●If you heat up the milk too much, just make sure to cool it.●When you first start kneading the dough, it will be sticky, but keep at it and give it your best for about 10 minutes. Recipe by Shirowa-ru

One of my all time favorite meals for breakfast. My mom made this for me for as long as I can remember. Mama said it was something my dads grandmother made for him. There’s something very comforting about it. #heirloom
