Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cbutter
  2. 1/2 cpeanut butter
  3. 1 tspvanilla extract
  4. 6 cupschex cereal
  5. 1 csemi sweet chocolate chips
  6. 1 1/2 cupspowdered sugar (may need more)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Melt butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter in microwave or stove. If on stove, heat it on low and stir often. If in microwave heat in a microwave safe bowl, heat for 1 minute, take out and stir and back in for 30 seconds, etc. For example, heat 30 seconds, stir and repeat till melted. Once melted, add the 1 tsp vanilla extract.

  2. 2

In a large freezerbag, add the 1 1/2 cups powder sugar to the bag. Add the 6 cups of chex cereal to the freezer bag. Do not mix yet. Lastly, add the chocolate melted mixture on top of the chex cereal. Now, zip the bag shut and shake the mixture. The chex cereal should be covered in powdered sugar. You may have to add an extra 1/2 cup extra of powdered sugar if the cereal is not covered enough.

  3. 3

Take a cookie sheet and put parchment down. Then, spread the powdered sugar chocolate chex mixture on top of the parchment. Place in fridge to cool down. Keep an eye on it, and when u divide it up to give out, you may have to break pieces up or add more powdered sugar.

I am happily married on 3/17/16. I have one daughter who loves to help in the kitchen. She loves to make and try different recipes from all over the country. She wants to try curry next. I found out a month ago that I am diabetic and have decided to change my life style. I am on a low carb, sugar free diet. I will still post other recipes that I make for my family.
