Basic Buttercream

Buttercream made with one egg white. It's convenient for decorating cakes and cupcakes, or for sandwiching a small amount between cookies or whoopie pies.

* There were various recipes with butter, egg yolks, milk, etc., so I tried different ones to find an easy-to-make version.
Cooking Instructions

Mix the softened butter at room temperature with a whisk until it becomes pale and creamy.

In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg white, then add the sugar in two parts, mixing until stiff peaks form.

Add the meringue from step 2 to the butter from step 1 in three parts, mixing well each time.

Pipe onto small chiffon cakes and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
