Ooey Gooey Bars

These are my rendition of the 7 layer bars or magic cookie bars. I just put my own twist on them. I hope you enjoy them.

Alisha was helping me prepare food for the superbowl and wanted to make a treat, this is what she came up with, she used my brownie recipe and changed up the toppings, they are great!!!

I came up with this recipe when I wanted to make some cookie bars and decided to use a combination of a few recipes and my own cravings/sweet tooth to figure out the details. Enjoy everyone!!

I cut this recipe out of our local newspaper in the late 80s. If this doesn’t quench your need for chocolate, I seriously don’t know if anything will.

These remind me of the "Nestle'sCrunch"Candy Bar. They are Crunchy. And so Easy.A Great Quick Treat.....

U dont have to use the heaths bits or the pecans it still will taste good ..this is a recipe great for kids to have.

I got this recipe from my friend Bridget, who makes it regularly for her children. She keeps some wrapped portions in the freezer and takes them with her when they go out.

This is the opposite of the chocolate chip cookie bar. Just having fun mixing it up.

The fresh strawberries go lovely and jammy but still have a gorgeous fresh, vibrant flavour. I used gluten free flour but you could use any type of flour including brown or spelt flour 🍓#berrybonanza

My grandmother used to make these for me. Depending on how big of pieces you want, this can make about 8-16 squares

We are all always hunting for that elusive beast, "the perfect chocolate chip cookie". I'm not going to tell you this recipe is perfect by any means, and as it's written it's "cookie bars", not straight up cookies - although I do have a note at the end for the option of making cookies. I make bars because as a busy mom spreading my dough out in a cake pan and throwing it into the oven is faster than making batch after batch of individual cookies, waiting for my cookie sheets to cool between each batch, and lugging the dough in and out of the fridge to ensure the cookies don't spread ridiculously.What I WILL tell you is that this recipe is my own compilation of my favorite aspects of a variety of cookie recipes I've tried over the years, and we think it's delicious. And be prepared for open gooey yummyness, cause that's ehat you're gonna get with these!
