Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu
Fried bean curd cooked in a sweet-savory sauce on rice (called kitsune-don) is delicious and I love it, but I thought that in the summer months when appetites are lagging something spicy like this would be better. My husband really liked it so I decided to upload it here! You can freeze aburaage (fried flat tofu), so it's useful to keep stocked. I make the sauce with dashi stock so it's not that spicy. It's also good on top of udon noodles. Recipe by pappatyan cookpad.japan -

Curry Pilaf with Chicken in Tomato-Cream Sauce Curry Pilaf with Chicken in Tomato-Cream Sauce
I wanted to make a fun meal that was very original and that people wouldn't get tired of. It had to be inexpensive and delicious, too. I don't know if a dish like this already exists, but I thought it sounded like a good combination and tried it out. Result: it was very tasty, so I turned it into a recipe.I wasn't sure whether I should stir fry the flour with the chicken, but mixing it with milk worked fine. In Step 6, simmer the sauce for 1-2 minutes after it's bubbling. If you use cream instead of milk, the sauce will be quite rich. You could blend milk and cream, too. For 4 servings. Stir Fried Wiener Sausages and Cabbage with Curry Sauce Stir Fried Wiener Sausages and Cabbage with Curry Sauce
This is a recipe my mom often made for me when I was little. The dish can become very spicy depending on the curry powder, so adjust accordingly while checking the taste. If making this for children, then just add enough curry powder to add fragrance. Water will come out of the cabbage as time goes by, so heat it up again just before serving.
