  1. 2 cupflour
  2. 1/4 tspbaking soda
  3. 1 tbspbaking powder
  4. 1 tspsalt
  5. 6 tbspunsalted butter (very cold)
  6. 1 cupbuttermilk

    450F oven

    sift dry ingredients

  3. 3

    cut butter into chunks, then cut into dry ingredients until it resembles course meal

  4. 4

    add buttermilk, mix until JUST combined

  5. 5

    turn dough onto floured board

  6. 6

    pat dough to 1/2 inch thick, fold about 5 times to 1 inch thick

  7. 7

    cut into rounds

  8. 8

    bags for 12 - 15 mins
