Ingredients

  1. 3 cupself raising flour
  2. 1/2 tspsalt
  3. 1 cupsugar
  4. 1 cupbutter
  5. 1 largeegg
  6. 2 tspvanilla essence

Cooking Instructions

    Prepare oven to 170'C

    Sif self raising flour and salt together.

  3. 3

    Mix sugar and butter with a mixer until smooth then add the large egg and vanilla essence. Mix. Don't overmix.

    Add mixture to the flour mix.

  5. 5

    Once mixed, it should be a dough like content. If its not, just add more self raising flour untill stiff enough.

    For best results, cling wrap the dough and leave in fridge overnight. You can however use it straight away.

    Clean your working area. Add some flour to the area. Place dough mix on the working area and roll out. It should be about 1/2 cm thick. Use your desired shape/s and press out.

    Grease a baking tray. Place the desired shape/s in the tray about 1cm apart.

    Bake for 10 min.

    Once done, place them upside down on the working area to cool down.

  11. 11

    Decorate the cookies with chocolate if you wish to.
