Cinnamon toast bread

This is a scaled down version of my bread pudding recipe and different bread. I’m trying to fake my grandkids out and make them think it’s French toast. Little beggars are picky! But of course, Grammy will try anything.

I was about to make the usual French Toast then I realized I had cinnamon raisin bread & said, hey...I should try using this instead & it turned out great! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

This is a recipe for French toast made with bread crust. I always make these when I accumulate leftover crust, since sandwich bread is expensive.My mother used to make this for me when I was a child, and now, it's my children's favorite breakfast.When flipping it over, it is better to use a spatula, but since it is made from crust, it may crumble. My family loves sandwiches. That's why I get a lot of leftover bread crusts, since I usually chop them off.My mother and I were thinking about a way to change these crusts into something delicious, and here's what we came up with.It was actually a much better success than we first thought!When you heat butter in a frying pan, don't take too much time before adding the bread crusts or it will burn.If you have vanilla oil, make sure to add.
