Flower bread

#bakeabread
What took me so long? I've been trying to get something new in mind, what type of bread to bake, something unique, something different, so I managed to come up with this "flower bread". Even though it's not a perfect flower but am happy I did this, I bet it'll get better with another trial.

Basic fluffy white bread Basic fluffy white bread
After a very long hunt I finally found the perfect fluffy bread recipe from a friend and tweaked it to makes my own. I used semolina to really add flavor. I can tell when it's been left out. Also the wheat protein is crucial to the light and fluffy texture. You can get bread flour and leave it out since that's what bread flour is. I just don't like storing different plain flour. Bread Bread
I've been baking bread all my life. I was taught by my mother and grandmother. This is a recipe that has been consistently successful. This is my stripped down goto recipe. I can add sugar and have a great sweet bread that will even fry up as donuts. Or this recipe can have cheese and bacon bits incorporated into the dough for a savory bread that goes great with soups. Rye Oat Bran Bread Rye Oat Bran Bread
Experimenting with bread machine. I took the basic egg bread recipe from the machine recipe book and modified it to use different flours. because the rye flour makes denser bread, I increased yeast to 2 teaspoons.Note: Kefir can probably be substituted with buttermilkallochka

Fluffy Kabocha Squash Bread Fluffy Kabocha Squash Bread
Since I love kabocha squash so much, I made fluffy and sweet kabocha bread!!Everyone loves this soft and sweet bread!! Use Bocchan Kabocha (mini-sized, sweet Japanese kabocha squash) for an even sweeter bread! The amount of liquid depends on the type of Kabocha squash. You can adjust it by reducing the amount of milk to 10 ml if the squash is very moist.Even though the squash might seem hard originally, it will gradually soften up and its juices will come out. Bocchan Kabocha (smaller, sweeter type of squash) would make this bread sweeter and give it a nicer color. Recipe by mzhroom cookpad.japan -
Lagana (Greek Bread) Lagana (Greek Bread)
Monday was our Clean Monday or Ash Monday, and is the day we usually bake the Greek Bread “Lagana”. I am sure you have seen other photos of Lagana from other Food Bloggers that look gorgeous 🙂 (Great Work fellow bloggers!!) mine doesn’t look like much, I know, but it does taste very good. 🙂Now, you might be wondering why my bread isn’t oval shaped, well like I have mentioned before my kitchen is quite small and I have very limited counter space. 🙂 (I don’t mind though I do my best with what I have). 🙂 So, I used a baking pan that I have and just used my fingers to push it out into a oval shape. This bread is so thin that you can actually use it to dip into the delicious dips you enjoy eating, or you can spread your dip onto the Lagana. 🙂 or even make delicious thin sandwiches….:) Foodzesty -
